Install Zed TV on your TV

Six ways to get the app onto the TV. The easiest is the Downloader app, and you never have to type a PIN with the remote if you activate from your phone. One PIN per device: a TV counts as a device.

The easy way

1. Downloader app Easiest

  1. Install Downloader

    On the TV, open the Play Store and install Downloader (by AFTVnews).

  2. Type the address

    Open Downloader and type zedmods.com/tv

  3. Allow installs

    When asked, allow installing from unknown sources for Downloader.

  4. Install and open

    Install, open Zed TV from your TV home row, then enter your PIN.

Activate without typing on the TV

  1. Read the device code

    Open Zed TV on the TV. The activation screen shows the device code.

  2. Type it on your phone

    On your phone open zedmods.com/activate (Android or iPhone) — type the code there, link your PIN, or get one in the bot.

  3. Check activation

    Back on the TV tap Check Activation (or reopen the app). It activates itself, nothing to type on the remote.

Prefer to type on the TV? On Android TV / Google TV, focus the PIN box and choose “Use your phone keyboard”, or open the Google TV app (Android and iPhone) — its built-in keyboard types straight into the TV.

Current build & direct links

Zed TV v1.4.3 — works on Android 8.0 and newer TVs. The easiest link is zedmods.com/tv; for Downloader, USB or ADB you can also use one of these direct files:

Upgrading from an older Zed TV (v6.2.0 or earlier)? Uninstall the old app first (Settings → Apps → Zed TV → Uninstall), then install v1.4.3 — the older and newer builds cannot replace each other. Once installed, the app checks for new versions itself: on start it shows a popup with Check for Updates and Fix Account, and the activation screen has an Updates & Account button.

2. Send from your phone (Wi-Fi)

Install Send Files to TV on both the phone and the TV (same Wi-Fi), then send the APK from the phone. Fastest when you already have the file.

3. USB stick

Copy the APK to a USB drive (FAT32), plug it into the TV, and open the file with a file manager. Downloader has one built in. If installation is blocked, enable unknown sources for that app.

4. Bluetooth

Honest note: most TVs cannot receive APK files over Bluetooth (they have no Bluetooth file receiver). Use method 1 or 2 instead. Some Sony/Philips Android TVs with a file manager that supports “receive via Bluetooth” can work: pair the TV with your phone, then share the APK from your phone's share sheet.

5. Wi-Fi FTP

Install X-plore or FX File Explorer on the TV → enable its FTP server → on your phone open the shown address (e.g. ftp://192.168.1.50:2121) in a file manager or browser → upload the APK.

6. ADB over network (advanced)

On the TV: Developer options → enable ADB debugging. Then from a computer:

adb install ZedTV_v1.4.3.apk

7. No install at all — browser only

Install TV Bro (free browser) on the TV and open watch.zedmods.com. The player switches to TV mode automatically (D-pad navigation, big cards). Same PIN as the app.

How do I install Zed TV on Android TV?
Install the Downloader app on the TV from the Play Store, open it, type zedmods.com/tv, allow installing from unknown sources, then install and open Zed TV from the TV home row and enter your PIN.
Can I send the APK from my phone to the TV?
Yes. Install Send Files to TV on both devices over the same Wi-Fi and send the APK, or use a USB stick, a Wi-Fi FTP app on the TV, or adb over the network.
Can I watch without installing anything on the TV?
Yes. Install the TV Bro browser and open watch.zedmods.com. The web player switches to TV mode with remote navigation and uses the same PIN as the app.
Does one PIN work on two devices?
No. One PIN activates one device only. A TV counts as a device. To move your PIN to another device, message @ZedMediaBot and ask for an unbind.
What Android version does the TV app need?
Android 8.0 or newer (Zed TV v1.4.3 and later). Older builds of the app needed Android 12; if your TV showed “problem parsing the package” before, install v1.4.3 from zedmods.com/tv and it will work.
How do I update the TV app?
It checks automatically on every start — tap Download Update when a new version is offered, or reinstall from zedmods.com/tv any time. Your activation stays on the device.
